Business/General Litigation

Adam represents individuals and businesses in a variety of matters.  Representative matters include:

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a condominium trust in an action alleging negligence, wrongful termination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and misrepresentation brought by the owners of a unit who also served as the condominium’s property managers.
  • Defended a shareholder in a close corporation against claims brought by his longtime business partner that he had breached his fiduciary duties. The case settled with no out of pocket loss to the client.
  • Co-counsel in a case brought on behalf of his client, a company that had fallen victim to a large-scale insurance fraud scheme. The case involved multiple defendants and was litigated in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.  The case against all defendants but one was settled at mediation.  The remaining defendant was subject to a sizable default judgment.    
  • Negotiated a $250,000.00 settlement on behalf of an eighty-eight (88) year old woman who slipped and fell on snow and ice in the parking lot of a national chain store.
  • Co-counsel in a case brought against a dentist for malpractice and violation of M.G.L. c. 93A. A substantial settlement was obtained for the Plaintiff after a twelve (12) hour mediation that took place three (3) days before commencement of trial.
